Jeffrey’s Bay in South Africa attracts the best surfers in the world, thanks to its amazing breakpoints and excellent year-round weather. The wave season lasts from June to August. The swells from the south and south west, though, can hit the coast as early as April with the season sometimes extending up until September’s end.

The wave sizes can vary from two to three feet, and can go as high up as ten feet. The bay is also the site of a World Championship Tour event, the Billabong Pro, which takes place in July for 10 days. The best way for you to get to the town is by flying to Cape Town of Johannesburg, then boarding a connecting flight headed for Port Elizabeth. From there, you can arrange to be picked up and taken to your accommodation.
